MUMBAI- CITY OF DREAMS

Earlier this year Soapbox Media hit the busy streets of Mumbai, India, capturing some of the unique stories from the multiple millions of children living on the streets.

We teamed up with Visioin Rescue, an organisation that are now are feeding plus giving non-formal education to thousands of children everyday. They also provide food and counseling to young addicted adults. Biju Thampy [Founder of Vision Rescue] said "We rehabilitate, provide skill training and arrange for job opportunities for as many as we can, encouraging them and motivating them to live a life of fulfillment and goal. Our presence is on the streets of Mumbai from 9 am until 10 pm reaching out and touching the lives of the hurting and needy". 

You can often wonder when giving to charities or organisations in the developing world how much is actually received on the ground and what kind of impact our contribution making. I was so glad to see first hand and the heart behind the staff and volunteers that care day in and day out for the people of Mumbai and the massive difference our part plays there.
